Medical Affairs & Scientific Engagement

Medical Affairs sits between R&D, commercial, and the outside medical community. Its professionals translate complex clinical and scientific data into meaningful, non-promotional dialogue with physicians and researchers, generate real-world evidence, and shape how a company's science is understood by the people who prescribe and study its products. It is the single most common landing spot for physicians and PharmDs leaving direct patient care.

Why clinicians fit well here This is often the most natural first step out of clinical practice. Clinical credibility with physicians is the core currency of the MSL and Medical Director roles — your years treating patients are frequently weighted as heavily as an advanced degree.
